Roxane D. (Petel) Henson beloved mother of three and nana to nine passed away on January 30th surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 16, 1951 in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Dolores (Lavelle) Murnighan and Henry Petel and stepfather James Murnighan. She is survived by her stepmother Shirley Petel.
Roxane was a devoted mother, leaving behind her beloved children, Robert Henson and his wife Autumn of Smithfield, William Henson and his wife Nancy of Cumberland, and her cherished daughter, Jessica Henson, also of Cumberland. As a proud Nana, she took great joy in the lives of her five grandsons—Bobby, Alex, William, Jakob, and Jack—and her four granddaughters, Victoria and her husband Alex, Jillian, Reagan, and Grace. Roxane's heart was further warmed by the presence of her adored great-granddaughter, who brought immense joy into her life.
She was the beloved sister to Donna Gaudette and her husband Mike, and the devoted sister to her brothers, James Murnighan and his wife Debra, Scott Murnighan and his wife Sandy, Michael Murnighan and his late wife Christie, and Patrick Murnighan. Roxane's sisterly bonds extended to Kathleen Girard, Karen Petel, Gina Tubman, and Kristin Steele, as well as her brother, Russ Pete. Her family was her pride and joy, and she was deeply loved by her seven nephews and three nieces, in addition to being a treasured great aunt to nine.
Roxane filled her life with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories, often spending her days at the beach with family and friends. She leaves behind not just family, but a multitude of friends and loved ones who will carry her memory in their hearts.
